Weekly Friday Finds | 10-11-2024 | Trivia Time & Author of the Month News

I’m taking a short break from the trivia game to see if there are more participants when it returns. And maybe a little because I am overwhelmed with reviews, and donations are down. I count on donations & affiliate links to keep the blog running and to offer prizes. I’m also pausing the Author of the Month Award until I can find a better way for you to vote for your favorites. Suggestions, please!

New Adoption Book & FREE Digital Coloring Book from Tom Tracy

Just in time for National Adoption Month in November, Tom Tracy started a campaign to bring awareness to his latest book, Wonderfully You: An Ode to Adoption. His oldest daughter’s adoption experience inspired this beautiful book. As such, it highlights LGBTQIA+ families and transracial adoption. It is also his first book written entirely in rhyming prose, which helps make it a “read again and again” kids’ book.

What are you reading this week? Here is one that caught my eye this week.

Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley tells her whole story for the first time in this raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir faithfully completed by her daughter, Riley Keough.

In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir.

A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. (aff link)

Weekly Friday Finds |10-11-2024 | Creative Project

When I was a kid (all those eons ago), molded crafts were all the rage. We knew how to stink up a house, from Creepy Crawlers (IYKYK!) to melting tiny plastic sheets into car bodies. Today, you can make this safer version with the littles using a liquid gel that sets up in water. I recently saw an original Creepy Crawler machine on eBay for over $300! This is another chance for me to bemoan the fact that younger siblings tore up all my coolest toys. (aff link)

Please share the 10-11-2024 Friday Finds with your friends and family if they would be interested. I'm not above begging for more followers. lol!

If you are feeling exceptionally generous…donations are always welcome!

Reader, Welcome to Friday Finds for 11-08-2024. How are you today? I'm doing great...busy, but things are going well. I'm still deciding on changes I will be making on the website and to the newsletter for 2025. I am soliciting advice from my readers on several points. I plan to have a few polls to help me decide. But I could NOT face anything to do with polls and voting just yet. No matter your thoughts on the American election, we ALL need a break from that rhetoric! So let's relax and have...

Welcome to Friday Finds for 11-10-2024. Wow, what a week!! I’ve been out to breakfast with friends, Christmas shopping has begun, and I am still trying to find a replacement furnace. My article was published in Lou Kemp’s newsletter, and I hope to gain some traction from that endeavor. The BBNYA Semi-finalist tour is going great. Until December 4, a new post featuring a semi-finalist will be posted every day. Look for the hashtag #BBNYA2024 on ALL social media sites to follow along. The US...
